Reuben Green was born on the 19th of January 1836, in Perth. He was baptised the next year on the 9th of July 1837, with his brother (just after his brother William was born). He grew up in Perth.
The 16-year-old Reuben sailed to Victoria, to the gold diggings, per the 19 ton 'Evergreen' (his father George's ship) during February 1852. He sailed with his 30-year-old uncle, Levi Beacham. The Master of the ship was his father, George Green.
They returned with gold, sailing via Adelaide, on the 11th of November 1852, per the Louisa.
Reuben Green is believed to have died young, in about 1853, near King Island on the Gold Digger?
